The Institute of lighting design (ILO) was founded in 2007 in Amsterdam to strengthen the role of the independent lighting designer in society, focusing on the artistic and conceptual development and the promotion of the lighting designer in the fields of the performing arts, museums, architecture and the living environment. Rooted in the artistic field, iLo continues to stimulate the quality of light, lighting design and its profession.
